Custom Hand Burned Hats

Custom burned hats with EFFECTS

That’s The Hat Effect!

Welcome to The Hat Effect.

My name is Sherri and I am the owner/creator of The Hat Effect.

In 2022, I was trying to find something different that I could create that I thought people would like.

I started looking into macrame hat bands. One day, while watching YouTube and TikTok, I stumbled across a video of a lady burning flowers on a hat. Her name is Alexa Wisnieski, from Nashville. I was mesmerized.

I continued to watch her videos for over an hour and knew this was something I had to try. She is my inspiration so I encourage you to check her out on Facebook.

I burned a lot of holes and not many flowers at the beginning, but I stuck with it and practiced a lot. I finally figured it out.

I decided to be a vendor at the Ram Rodeo in Milton and to my surprise, my hats were a hit. I was so excited! This was day one of my new passion.

My spouse, Bobby and I have since attended several Ram Rodeos as vendors. We have met amazing vendors and Rodeo Competitors. In fact, we have recently sponsored a female Bullrider and a Barrel Racer. Click on the menu tab above and read all about them.

My mission is for people to put on one of my hats and feel the effect that it brings over themI want them to walk away with a little bounce in their step and their head held a little higher. It’s about creating something special just for that one person.

I will not change the world with my hats, but I can create a hat that will have a lasting effect on people and a smile on their face.

Hat Parties

Yes, we do hat parties too! How do hat parties work???

  • The cost per person is $120, depending on location (this includes the hat, hat band and feathers);

  • Charms are extra between $5 and $15 dollars; and

  • A minimum of 6 people

I will attend the venue of your choice and bring several hat styles and colours. The hats will have some burning already done but some customizing can take place during the party. Guests will pick their own bands and feathers (charms are optional).

If you are interested in a hat party, please contact us.

  • It all begins with an idea or a vision.

  • Bring all those ideas with you and build your own hat.
